Evaluation / Reflection Questions

Our group researched about homelessness and poverty which is an issue globally as well as New Zealand, we can help stop this issue by raising funds, raising awareness etc. We made posters that will help raise awareness throughout the school. These posters were made with the help of online websites such as Pixlr web editor and Canva poster maker. We stuck our posters in places around the school where students usually spend their time during morning tea and lunch time. We couldn’t work as much as other groups because not both of us is at school for some days.

We achieved our goal to create posters to help raise awareness. We also achieved to raise awareness which is the main purpose of the whole project. I can say this because I personally saw other student reading our poster that we stuck on the windows and doors.

I am unsure whether it had impact on others lives but we made posters that would attract other people. We made poster to make others understand how homelessness and poverty is an issue. We also put the website of organizations where people can donate to help stop this issues but we are uncertain whether or not the organizations received donation from the people that saw our posters.

If I was to do it again, I would make a better poster to attract more people to read them. I would fund raise to make sure that I can enrich and improve the lives of others. I would work harder to complete work so I can do more than i did this time.

PBL was a good way of learning in groups as well as individually. It helped us be more responsible for our own learning. It also boost our researching skills and cooperation with our group. It really helped us learn how to manage ourselves during class.

What i learnt through this process, i learnt how to work as a group, and individually. Research and share ideas with the group members. Design posters and edit them with using online websites, making a powerpoint with the information we gathered and how we worked individually and as a group. How to present to an audience properly and talk in front of an audience.

How i felt working in our group, We worked Individually and Together but when we worked together things happened faster. So we worked together which made it better and faster but we did research individually because it would be faster that way. One could research Homelessness and The Other Would research Poverty and then later share our ideas and put into one.
